Do you make These 3 Common Skin Care Mistakes?

By Ashley Alexis

Here are the 3 main reasons why people fail when it comes to skin care. Firstly they dont get a skin analysis. Secondly they gamble when buying cosmetics. And thirdly, they take advice from any and everyone.

My words may sound a bit bitter, but thats just the way it is. Lets look a little deeper at each of the 3 reasons. And maybe you would begin to understand and appreciate.

What if I asked you your skin type? Could you give me an honest answer?

Can you genuinely say that you have dry skin or oily skin? Or that your skin is normal or sensitive or combination (both dry and oily)?

The truth is most people cannot. They are not that intimate with their skin. So they are unaware of its specific needs.

This is really unfortunate because 90% of skin care is simply the understanding your skin. I think its a shame that getting a skin analysis is by-passed so often.

Now lets look at mistake #2 which is randomly purchasing products.

It is so easy to tell if someone is constantly choosing the wrong products for their skin. Simply look at his or her bedroom or bathroom. You can always find a collection of once-used cosmetics.

You see, many people purchase products based on prices. They think a higher price guarantees that the product works.

And what about those skin care advertisements that are so addictive? They too also influence our choice of products, dont they?

But the worst is where friend share products. Some people really do believe that they too will see the same results if they borrow their friends products.

These are all poor considerations for choosing skin care products. Thats because we use our emotions (instead of logic) to guide our choices.

Can you really find a direct link between the price of products and your skin type? And are TV ads really saying enough for you to make an informed judgment? I for one dont think so.

And everyones skin is not the same. So your friends products may work for him or her, but may not agree with your skin type.

With that said, lets look at the 3rd point. Be careful of whom you take skin care advice from.

Why do I say that? Well there are lots of people out there who have zero skin care IQ.

What Im trying to say is many people arent qualified to solve skin care problems. Nevertheless, they can always be found in internet forums or chat rooms recommending stuff to other people.

So, be careful of persons who recommend products and treatments right away. But instead, pay more attention to the ones who suggest getting a skin analysis before you spend any money.

Believe me, its that easy.
