The first and foremost step in facial skin care is getting a facial analysis. However this phase is often disregarded by many of us.
Below is a short article about my pal Gina. And needless to say, she also didnt see the importance of a facial analysis. Therefore she struggled (like most of us) with her facial skin. However she was able to come out on top in the end.
To tell the truth, Gina was a very self conscious person. And she always wanted to look her best. So she always devoted a lot of time (sometimes too much time) to skin care routine.
Additionally, Gina also kept her exposure to the suns UV rays to a minimum. She also consumed a healthy diet and her lifestyle excluded both alcohol and cigarettes. But surprisingly she still had poor skin.
She wanted supple and soft skin. But most times her face felt tight, dry and blistered.
Gina was confused. She began questioning her skin care routine and the products she was using. Then finally she decided to switch to another product brand.
So Gina viewed of the different skin ads on TV and took notice of those that appealed to her.
She bought the most expensive and popular products. She believed that the higher the cost, the better a product will work on her skin.
Now can you guess what took place next? Was Gina successful?
Unfortunately, the answer is no. Her situation didnt improve. And now her dresser was packed with those expensive cosmetic products that she used only once.
Gina thought that she would never have beautiful skin. And she felt like giving up.
But at this stage I intervened and passed on a few suggestions.
At first I questioned Gina about the type of skin she had. And precisely as I expected, she didnt have a clue.
So I explained the 5 different types of skin. They are oily skin, dry skin, sensitive skin, combination skin and normal skin. Then I demanded that she take a facial analysis.
And within a matter of minutes, Gina discovered that she had sensitive skin. This also meant that her skin was being aggravated by the products she had been using.
Now Gina is working with her skin type. She understands what her sensitive skin needs as well as the appropriate treatments to use. Gina is no longer gambling when it comes to skin care.
And Ginas story reinforces my first statement. A facial analysis is the first phase in skin care. Its the foundation for having that soft and supple skin you are longing for.
