Songs That Make Weddings Ceremonies More Memorable

By Dane Masters

Majority of people who are getting married put a lot of time in choosing the music that will be played during their wedding ceremony. Traditionally, a song is played to welcome the bridal party, there is a special song as the bride marches to her soon to be husband waiting at the altar. Another jubilant song is prepared for the official proclamation of their being husband and wife, which will be played from the wedding place to the wedding party.

There are the time-honored traditional wedding songs, but the couple could choose not to use them. Actually, they can select whatever songs they want, especially if these bear certain significance to them.

It came as a shock to me when my fianc who was normally unaffected by such things nor openly comments on a lot of matters suddenly became touchy regarding this decision. We listened to some of the wedding songs we were supposed to choose from and of course, the organist played that song.

An Emotional Reaction

I cannot believe my eyes when I saw him crying real tears while saying that it has been his dream for them to be marching together down the isle with that song in the background. Of course, what can a girl do. If it meant so much to him to the point of crying, I had to change my defiant stance.

Much to my surprise, tears sprung from the eyes of my husband-to-be and he blurted out that he always imagined me walking down the aisle towards him with that song playing. With a few tears, I was overruled, and we ended up using it because I knew how much it meant to him.

This Is a Lifetime Choice, So Take Your Time

There are thousands of songs to select from. The internet, your friends and your organist can give you some innovative ideas. You should pay attention your fianc's reaction to of all this considering that he is the other half for which all this preparation is intended for.
