Choosing The Perfect Hawaiian Bridesmaid Dresses

By Salvador Paez

One of the biggest thrills of planning a Hawaiian-themed wedding is choosing the attire of your entourage. When it comes to selecting the right kind of Hawaiian bridesmaid dress, you can be as inventive as you want to be. If you're wondering about the basic factors you must consider during the choosing stage, then take the following as useful suggestions:

* Light flowing dresses are perfect for the job

It would be disastrous if your bridesmaids find themselves tripping over or soiling excessively long gowns. Bu if you still want to have long Hawaiian dresses for your wedding, it's always best to think about the comfort of your bridesmaids before anything else. Long dresses are best if they reach until about the wearer's ankles. Anything more would seriously restrict a person's movements.

* Both simple and flashy dresses work wonderfully

Hawaiian dresses are usually stereotyped as having a lot of flashy colors and prints. But it does not have to follow for wedding dresses. You can in fact choose dresses for yourself and your bridesmaids to have simple colors, even white if you wish.

It isn't a problem if floral designs aren't your thing. You can just have floral designs on the hemline or not have them at all. It's your wedding so you can design it as you want it. You can just have your bridesmaids wear flowers on their ears or have them wear garlands on their heads.

* Tropical flowers are a fabulous choice for the bouquet.

If you plan on having your dresses plain, tropical flowers with the bright and joyful mood they bring can be a great compliment. The contrast creates a special atmosphere that is bound to make your wedding unforgettable.

* Measure, measure, measure

Measurements are the true key to comfort. It pays to have your bridesmaids measured professionally early on. Take note however that different designers use different size charts so make sure that someone takes down these measurements.
