Looking for a Cheap Diaper Bag? Here are 5 Things to Consider

By Jen Stoddart

You may be in the market for a great diaper bag for yourself or for a gift - and maybe you don't want to break the bank. Your criteria for an inexpensive diaper bag may be one that... * Is built to last * Is good value for the money spent * Has lots of pockets, compartments and pouches to hold the stuff that you need when out with your son or daughter * Costs under $70

Here are five features to look for when you are in the market to get a new diaper bag.

1. Super organized - look for one that has plenty of places to store items such as diapers, wipes, a change of clothes and little baby toys. It is also helpful if it has an insulated bottle holder - to hold baby's milk or water bottle when you are out and about. Having a bag where everything is organized means that you change baby in matter of seconds - not minutes.

2. Built in change pad - there are diaper bags on the market that provide you with the flexibility of a built in change pad for changing your baby. Imagine how great it would be to be able to unfurl a built in change pad virtually anywhere... in a washroom, on a picnic table, almost anywhere.

3. Priced right. For many of us budget is always a consideration. There are plenty of diaper bags on the market that are stylish, look good, are well built and provide all the functionality that you need. And they cost around $70. Make sure that the manufacturer of the bag you purchase stands behind their product by providing you with at least a 2 year warranty.

4. Great for both mom and dad. Both you and your partner will be taking baby for outings. Look for a bag that both of you will feel comfortable with as you introduce your son or daughter to the world. What a trip!

5. Flexible carrying style - buy a baby bag that is not only functional but has the flexibility to be used as a back pack, or to sling it over your shoulder, or to hang it from a stroller.
