Suit Brand Review

By Victor Santerino

The designer suit is one of the most misunderstood garments on the market. The reason for this is because there are so many suit vendors vying for the consumers attention, that it is hard to keep focus.

This article will review five different suit brands to give you an idea of what to look for when evaluating a suit designer. After reading this article you will have a basic understanding of Bill Blass, Botany 500, Borrelli, Brioni, and Brooks Brothers.

The Bill Blass suit is comparable to an Evan Picone or Jones of New York suit. This suit has a modern look to it but is usually found in a traditional wool material. Expect to pay around $300.00 for this suit brand.

Botany 500 suits are retro suits from the age of professional television talk show hosts. Prices for this suit will vary as you change from vendor to vendor.

Borrelli is a designer from Italy specializing in luxury models. You will find that the high quality materials are matched in styling and stitching. However, you will also find that the high quality also equals a high price tag.

The Brioni suit is a creation of Italy and is similar to both the Borrelli and Kiton suit. Pierce Brosnan has been known to wear these suits in the James Bond movies. Price ranges for this suit vary but are generally in the $2,000.00 range.

Brooks Brothers makes spectacular suits for conservative affairs. Styling is traditional and classic and nature and perfect for understated sophistication. This suit will cost you around $900 each.

I hope this article has given you enough background knowledge to make your own decisions on these five suits and any other suits you may come across. Remember to experiment with a few brands before deciding on your favorite.
