The full history of Coach handbags

The journey of the Coach brand started in 1941 with a little known designer named Bonnie Cashin. Her designs magnified the industry with retail collections that brought a breath of fresh air to fashion. Her designs were innovative for the time. They include eloquent and bright colors. Something that was not see to often during the 1940's. This innovation got her recognition and brought her designs into the spotlight making them a must have for all women. From 1941 and to the present, Coach handbags have managed to maintain their reputation for being the best, thus standing the test of time.

Who would have thought that a business that was started in a New York loft was to become one of the most powerful and well-known brands? The company expanded rapidly and chose a new location for its production, located in New York as well. They used only high-quality leather for the making of Coach handbags and took pride in using naturally-based substances for softening the leather. And, just as fun fact, it is incredible that the original idea behind Coach handbags came from baseball gloves. The designers were fascinated with how soft the leather was and implemented the concept for their creations.

There are instances in every company were even though you are the best you relax your efforts. During the 90's Coach went through this period were its competitors were able to surpass its brand. Sales started to decline and the company as a whole was not doing too well. Coach needed to work on there image. During this time Coach was seen more of a classic choice. And lesser brands capitalized on this market summary by offering more attractive alternative to the market. To fight off its rivals Coach opted for a more radical change by releasing new lines of products that were far from the classic look and feel of its current brand. The new collections had a difference design for the Coach fabric as well as new handbags that had leather and other new fabrics. With this new focus it was not long before Coach was once again on top.

Coach is now on the fast track, with a new outlook for the 2000s. Revenue streams are up and the new collections are getting high praise from the media as well as the fashion industry. Celebrities are also making Coach there must have handbags for this century. And to think all of this praise came from the decision to improve the once failing look of the Coach collections. History may have been written differently if a new look was not brought to market. Today, the style, the quality and the leather are responsible for continuing the tradition of Coach handbags.

Such a large dream was started in such a small loft. Today, that dream is still alive and well. The same footsteps that produced the first collection that made Coach famous is still being used to make Coach even more famous in today's market. The concept of producing elegant, classy and distinctive Coach handbags. There are Coach handbags designed for classic, casual and sport styles; others can be worn on the shoulder and are more comfortable. With time Coach will continue to produce even more innovative style that will capture the imagination of it public and fans. With each new bag produced a new chapter is written for Coach.
