How To Wear A Church Suit

By Victor Santerino

The suit is still the number one garment worn to church each Sunday. Each and every week men of all denominations can be seen wearing not only church suits, but shoes, jewelry, and even hats. This article will give you some tips on choosing the proper suit and suit accessories for church.

Firstly, you should make a decision on what style suits him the best. The work suit you wear each week can suffice as a church suit, but is not nearly as interesting. Choose a unique design or pattern that you normally wouldn't wear to work and you will be much happier.

Following your choice of style, you should decide on a particular color. Stay with black for funerals and possibly weddings, but never for a normal sermon. Choose darker shades of blue, brown, or gray in the winter and khaki, light gray, and light blue in the spring and summer.

Shoes are the next area you will need to focus on when getting your church suit prepared. Monk straps, wingtips, and other models with intricate design work are what you should be looking for. These types of shoes are more relaxed, less formal, and great for your weekend outing.

Following this you need to choose a tie to wear with your suit. Pick a tie than shows off your love of designs and colors. You can also decide to tie it in a unique way that you would not normally do in work situations.

Following this you should take a good look at a nice designer hat. This hat doesn't have to be expensive or fancy, but it should add to your style as well as keep the rain, snow, and cold air off of your head.

The use of jewelry can be used in moderation. Wearing a watch and a ring or two will add to your style. However, wearing a Mr. T medallion will probably ruin the rest of your outfit.

I hope you enjoyed reading this article as much as I enjoyed writing it. Try these tips out next time you go shopping for a church outfit and you will be the talk of the town. Maybe together we can bring the suit to an even greater level of popularity in church.
