Cosmetic Breast Surgery - Risks And Advantages

By Ann Lim

Women who are less well endowed often consider having larger and more attractive breasts. Such mindsets are often the result of the media's portrayal of attractive and sexy women on high profile spreads and news with full bosoms. The same image is often given of the female jetsetter or high achiever in modern times, with scores of men chasing after them.

What cannot be disputed is that having a set of desirable cleavage is now considered an advantageous asset in terms of getting ahead in life in many areas. It is also the reason why many women have started to chase such physical transformation in order to achieve their dreams in relation to such industries.

Cosmetic breast surgery is often the choice for most women when they wish to increase their bust size. There are natural methods such as using exercise or even radio waves, but most individuals prefer instant results. If done well, a breast lift will also leave a woman with well sculpted breasts which is the perfect result. Such a result will ultimately allow many of them to feel better about themselves in many ways, including greater confidence at both work and play.

As illustrated in various milieus, large breasted women are generally perceived as more attractive than their small breasted counterparts and as such, enjoy better perks at work, greater attention, and at times, even better service at restaurants or retail establishments.

The benefits of undergoing aesthetic cosmetic surgery are especially felt when one works in a highly competitive industry, such as the modeling or fashion business, the creative arts/television, or a youth-driven industry where looks matter most. On top of that, there is a tendency for most women to think that by augmenting their breast size, they are in effect increasing their romantic opportunities or widening their selection of potential life partners.

Women keen on going under the knife to augment or reduce breast size will do well, however, to weigh both the advantages and risks of cosmetic breast surgery. As with other cosmetic surgery procedures, there is an upside and a downside to breast surgery, such as the health risks and even superficial ones like physical scars that might end up as long term disadvantages.

Some of the problems include breast implants that leak and leave a trail of damage within the breasts. This can be cleaned up with more surgery but the end result can either be minimal damage or permanent scarring that might even require the removal of one or both sides. There is definitely a lot at stake than just a momentary pain from having a surgery procedure.

Problems resulting from cosmetic breast surgery can be prevented or minimized by having it done by skilled plastic surgeons. After surgery care is also important and women should never mishandle their implants, or even put too much pressure on their bodies and internal organs by having oversized implants. Make the right choices with a rational mind, and beauty and success can be balanced perfectly.
