Choosing A Summer Suit

By Anthony Serposi

Deciding which summer suit to purchase may be your biggest decision of the summer. This is because summer suits come in many different materials and not all are appropriate for your use. Read this article and you will learn everything you need to know to make the perfect purchase.

Summer suits generally come in wool, linen, cotton, and seersucker. Which suit you choose will depend largely on where you plan to wear it.

Worsted wool is the only wool suit that is made as an exclusive summer suit. This suit is great for warm weather because it is thin and lightweight. Buy this suit for the office and you will not go wrong.

The main draw back of the worsted wool suit is that it is dry clean only. This may seem obvious in comparison with its winter counter parts but all other summer suits are machine washable.

Linen suits are the softest suits on the market. The suit has an extremely relaxed feel to it and is perfect for social occasions. The major problems with these suits are their tendency to fade quickly with age and wrinkle almost without provocation.

Cotton suits are light and breathable which makes them ideal for summer wear. This suit can be worn to the office but is advised against because of its high probability of quickly forming wrinkles.

The seersucker suit is the perfectly designed summer suit for non formal occasions. This suit is stitched in such a way that the suit provides a maximum amount of air to the skin while shading it from the sun. The only problem with this suit is that it rarely comes in a model that is suitable for the office or any sort of formal event.

Now that you know the differences between the various types of summer suits you should carefully consider what types of activities you will be using your suit for. Purchase a suit that can fulfill your needs and keep you feeling cool all summer long.
