Find Out How To Avoid Suit Wearing Sins

By Victor Santerino

This article will review the most basic suit wearing sins that ordinary people like you and me make on a daily basis. Read through it and you will be looking more polished and refined in no time.

Tailoring of the jacket on slim men is the first mistake that comes to mind. Many men like to buy off the rack suits, (which is fine with proper tailoring). However, a thin man will almost always have to get the waist taken in to make the suit sit appropriately on them.

Jacket buttons should not all be buttoned. The bottom button is never buttoned on a suit, this rule is inflexible. If you doubt this rule than feel free to button the bottom button and sit down for a long period of time.

Sleeves on the suit jacket need to be the proper length. This can be done by ensuring that only a quarter of an inch of the dress shirt is showing at the sleeves. Any more or less is just wrong.

Never add cuffs to a pair of pants with a flat front. The use of cuffs should be reserved for pants with pleats.

The pants on a suit must never extend beyond a slight break at the bottom. Save baggy trousers for sweats and break away pants.

The color of the belt should always match the color of the shoes.

Use polish on your shoes whenever necessary. It is glaringly obvious when a person has scuffed up shoes.

The color of the socks should never be white. Also try and match the color of the socks to the color of the suits pants.

This article was written to help men refine their look. Use this as a reference point when wearing your suits and you will never go wrong.
